This page serves as a starting point for any new Knox members. It will (briefly) explain how to get started with the project and how the wiki should be used and updated.

Editing and updating the wiki
"Prøv på at efterlade denne [wiki] en lille smule bedre, end du fandt den. Og når din sidste stund en gang kommer, kan du dø lykkelig i bevidstheden om, at du i hvert fald ikke har spildt dit liv, men gjort dit bedste" - Robert Baden-Powell

The World Wide Web is in constant expansion. Each day, a vast amount of data in
heterogeneous formats is being added, such as text, graphs, relational databases etc.
Nearly all of it is available for the users. Here, the question emerges:
How is a user supposed to understand all this information and use it in decision making? With the
vast amount of data and diversity in data formats, it is impossible for any human to
keep track of, and understand all of this. Furthermore, with nearly no limitations on
the information added to the web, how is the user supposed to distinguish between
which sources can be trusted, and which cannot?
To address these issues, fifth semester of the Software study programme at Aalborg
University launched the Knox (Knowledge Engineering Toolbox) project. Knox is a
toolbox designed for fact checking and information search, making it easier for the
user to find useful information. The vision for this toolbox is to be a flexible toolbox,
where different tools can be utilised and combined to solve larger problems, making
functionalities that can be utilised for a wide variety of cases essential.
